Soar into summer

Available in apertures ranging from a compact 26mm that slips easily into a coat pocket to an impressive 56mm that gulps in light, Alpen's Wings waterproof binoculars have fully multi-coated optics and premium BaK4 prisms that produce bright, high-contrast images even in twilight conditions.

Designed with versatility in mind, these binoculars have an open bridge for steady gripping and feature twist-up eyecups to comfortably accommodate observers with or without eyeglasses. In addition to being waterproof, Wings binoculars have rubber armoring for protection against minor bumps and are purged with an inert gas to prevent internal fogging.

For a limited time, you can save 25% on any Wings model while stock lasts!

With an aperture that captures impressive amounts of light, Explore Scientific’s 10-inch Hybrid Truss Tube Dobsonian Telescope is an ideal workhorse for deep-sky enthusiasts and a great instrument for getting highly detailed views of our planetary neighbors. The 254mm primary mirror collects more than 1,500 times as much light as the naked eye. With this light-gathering power, you can observe many bright star clusters resolved to their core, see structural elements of distant galaxies and have unforgettable experiences viewing sights ranging from the lunar terminator to billowing bright and dark nebulae.

This Dobsonian telescope is easy to operate for amateur astronomers of all skill levels. Although its size can appear daunting, it can be easily disassembled and transported — even in small cars — and reassembled within minutes without tools.

This hybrid telescope has a truss tube structure made from powder-coated aluminum for maximum rigidity and portability with a minimum of mass. However, in a twist on the truss tube design, the secondary mirror is still housed inside a tube like a traditional Dobsonian. Oversized altitude bearings work with the aluminum-sandwich construction to facilitate smooth, small movements even at high magnifications.

Additional accessories include a single speed focuser, two eyepieces; a 1.3 MP digital eyepiece for viewing and capturing lunar images on a Windows device; a 2X Barlow lens that doubles the magnification of the eyepiece; a Moon filter; a Moon map marking major lunar features and spacecraft landing sites; a planisphere for locating objects in the sky based on your current latitude, longitude and time; a red dot finder; and a collimation tool.

There's still time to grab great gear for dad!
